Addiction to Free Fire killed 16-year-old Kanpur youth, hanged on father’s scolding

Due to the addiction of playing Free Fire game, a young man from Kanpur committed suicide by hanging. The case is of Ghatampur in Kanpur district. Recently, another case of Kanpur came to light in which the youth lost Rs 5 lakh from the account of his parents due to the addiction of free fire game.

According to the reports, the father of the youth who hanged himself had scolded him for playing the game. Due to his father’s scolding, a 16-year-old youth took his own life by hanging Sari as a noose.

The parents of the youth live in the staff quarters of Naveen Health Center (CHC) Muttaur. After his father’s scolding, the young man did not even go to school and told his elder brother at four in the evening that he was tired and was going to rest in the room. After going to the room, the young man hanged himself by closing the door from inside. According to his elder brother, the young man was addicted to playing Free Fire game and took this step due to his father’s scolding. However, the post-mortem report of the youth has not yet come.

Let us tell you that this is not the first time when children take such steps due to playing online games. To save kids from gaming addiction parents give them phone for limited time. Games like BGMI, Free Fire have time limits. Parents should go to the settings of the game and put parental lock in it, due to which children will not be able to play the game for a long time.

Online gaming addiction is bad

Recently, due to the addiction of online gaming from Kanpur, a case of online fraud of Rs 5 lakh was reported from the account. However, on the request of the child’s parents, the police froze the transaction amount from the account and started searching for the accused. At the same time, a 16-year-old teenager had transferred Rs 10 lakh from his family’s account while playing BGMI in Mumbai. The teenager had transferred Rs 10 lakh to buy the gaming ID aka gamer tag. This money was used to buy the in-game currency UC.

The in-game currency of BGMI is called UC, which is purchased with real money. Similarly, the in-game currency of Free Fire is Diamond, which has to be bought. There are many cosmetic items available in these games, which have to be purchased using in-game currency.
