Infosys: Allegations against Infosys – refusing to hire candidates of Indian origin and women with children.
Indian IT company Infosys is once again facing allegations of gender bias. Jill Prezien, former vice president of talent acquisition at Infosys, has filed a complaint in a US court with serious allegations. Prezine reported that Infosys had asked people of Indian origin, women with children and candidates who are 50 or above to avoid hiring. I was also discriminated against for refusing to screen candidates on the basis of such illegal, discriminatory parameters. Several officers tried to control me.
I was fired for not following the orders of the company
Prezine alleged that she was threatened with removal for non-compliance and faced discrimination in the unfavorable work environment as well as herself. He was later fired after an alleged pressure campaign.
Infosys gets a setback from the court
In a setback to Infosys, the United States District Court in New York on Friday rejected its proposal. Infosys had asked the court to quash the suit filed by Jill Prezien. Prezine has filed a lawsuit against former Infosys senior VP and consulting head Mark Livingston and former partners Dan Albright and Jerry Kurtz. Jill Prezien has accused Infosys of unjustly dismissing her. Prezien said senior company executives fired the employees after they objected to complying with illegal hiring demands.
