Maruti Suzuki’s Innovation Plan: Collaborating with 6 Startups to Create New Tech Solutions

Maruti Suzuki has joined hands with six startups to develop AI and new technology-based solutions. The company selected these startups from the 10th cohort of its flagship accelerator program. Under paid Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, these startups will have the opportunity to collaborate with the company to develop solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technologies. These startups include Goat Robotics, SheerDrive, Schijnenn Digital, GenbaNEXT, Swayatt Drishtigochar, and Swiftex.

Production to Accelerate

Through this initiative, the company aims to make its production processes safer, more efficient, and faster; reduce product development timelines; strengthen material traceability; and enhance the customer experience. The company believes that these new innovations will serve to improve both its production processes and its dealer network. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki, stated that the solutions being developed in collaboration with these startups will further enhance safety, design timelines, and the supply chain. He added that this will not only bolster the production process but also improve the company’s circular economy initiatives and customer service.

What These Startups Will Do

Goat Robotics: Will make material movement safer and more efficient.

SheerDrive: Will develop a system to provide real-time, market-based pricing for pre-owned cars.

Schijnenn Digital: Will reduce product design and development timelines.

GenbaNEXT: Will enhance material traceability and circular economy initiatives.
