Apple opened its fifth retail store in India on December 11th at DLF Mall of India in Noida. This is the second store in the Delhi NCR region; the first store in Delhi opened in April 2023. This is also Apple’s third store to open in India after Bengaluru (September 2nd) and Pune (September 4th) in 2025.
CEO Tim Cook had stated that four more stores would be opened in India, in addition to Mumbai and Delhi. The Noida store will feature the latest products, including the iPhone 17 series, M5-powered MacBook Pro, and 14-inch MacBook Pro. Customers will be able to try out the new features. Specialists, Creatives, Geniuses, and Business Teams will provide expert support.
Most Expensive Store in India, Monthly Rent of ₹45 Lakh
Apple’s fifth retail store in Noida is the most expensive store in India. Sub-lease documents from CRE Matrix reveal that the store’s monthly rent is approximately ₹45.3 lakh.
Apple has leased 8,240 square feet of space on the ground floor of DLF Mall of India. The first year of the lease will be rent-free, after which the company will pay ₹263.15 per square foot.
This translates to approximately ₹45 lakh per month and more than ₹5 crore annually. Over the entire lease period, the rent could reach approximately ₹65 crore.
Why is the Noida Apple Store Special?
The Apple store opened at DLF Mall of India in Noida Sector-18 is specifically designed keeping the youth in mind, as Noida is a city where people from various parts of the country reside for work and employment.
Besides Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, people from Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and West Bengal have settled here. The city has a significant young population working in IT and other companies. Therefore, the store can help connect young people with Apple products and bring them closer to the company.
Apple’s rapid growth in India
India has consistently emerged as a crucial market for Apple. According to market tracker IDC, the company could sell 15 million iPhones in the country in 2025. This could push Apple’s market share above 10% for the first time.
In the September quarter, Apple became India’s fourth-largest smartphone vendor, recording a 25% year-on-year growth with sales of approximately 5 million units.
In several recent analyst calls, Cook has highlighted India as a standout market where the company has achieved record revenue for 15 consecutive quarters.
